Community Family Clinic Helps the Uninsured
The Community Family Clinic in Idaho Falls opened nearly three years, but staff say there, a lot of people still do not know what it is able to offer the Commonwealth.
It is open to all members of the Community.
Juan Ramirez, met Tuesday with their doctor at the clinic of the family. She has a lot of migrants, their friends here.
Ramirez: “I would say that nearly 10 people.”
… And she hopes to find even more.
Ramirez: “Most of them have no health insurance and food, it is very expensive.”
There are few health care centers Idaho in the East as in the clinic. Indeed, it is the only Idaho Falls, for hundreds of thousands of dollars by the federal government in order to deal with unversichert. Many of those in our agricultural fields, and many doctors do not see them.
Arnold Cantu, the Community Clinic family: “In the migration of the population, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol levels run rampant in this culture.”
But in the clinic, a few visits are likely to bear the costs as low as $ 15 in most cases with income. But what some of them until a few years ago, before the clinic?
Cantu: “Many people without insurance have not been served, or they will, for emergencies and Idaho Falls community could have taken that the main burden of the costs.”
So it is a lightweight on taxpayers. But it is not only the migrants are treated.
Greg Bristow, the patient: “If I am here for the first time, started before my disability, I was on a ladder, and without that I could not be treated. I feel good over coming here, I feel like I have Bin, care, and I will always be. ”
And as for nurses and doctors, they could probably more money by working in other health centres, but chose to work there.
Cantu: “They are very dedicated, hardworking, and the concern for patients. They love what they do and want a difference in our community.”
The clinic welcomes insurance, and said, it is those who pay their insurance to the clinic to get the necessary funds to remain open and offer low prices for those who are not likely to make any other types of health care.
